The Town of Enfield Seeks
A Burial Coordinator for Christian Cemetery
The Town of Enfield owns and manages Christian Cemetery on Enfield Main Road, where burials still occur and there is a need for a burial coordinator to complete the following tasks:
- Communicate with families and funeral homes with burial needs
- Coordinate opening and closing of the grave sites with an excavating contractor
- Possible communication with monument providers regarding placement
- Possible excavation by hand of cremation interment sites
Historically, services have been required less than five (5) times per year.
Service fee for candidate is paid by the family of the deceased and set at a specific rate by the Town of Enfield.
Qualifications:
- Interest in providing a service to families during a difficult time and willingness to make the burial portion of their process go as smoothly as possible.
- Good communication skills, respect and care for the local community.
- Ability to respond on an as-needed basis during the months of April through November.
- Ability to excavate a cremation plot with a shovel 2′ deep and 2′ wide if necessary.
- Ability to learn and relay burial plot requirements for interment.
