NOTICE OF VACANCY ON THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF ENFIELD, NEW YORK. NOTICE OF PLAN FOR APPOINTMENT OF COUNCILPERSON TO THE ENFIELD TOWN BOARD.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of Enfield, New York, having a vacancy in the office of Town Councilperson, is now accepting one page letters of interest containing information on the candidates’ background, qualifications, and interest in public service from legal residents of the Town of Enfield** who are at least 18 years old by February 3, 2021, for the public office of Councilperson on the Enfield Town Board.
This will be an appointment until December 31, 2021. The yearly stipend for this position is $3,500.00, paid quarterly.
A Regular Meeting will be held upon Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 6:30 pm, via the Zoom Online Meeting Platform, in the Town of Enfield, New York, where interested applicants will have the opportunity to introduce themselves to the Town Board and to the Enfield Community.
Each candidate will be invited to speak for 3 minutes.

This notice will be officially posted on the Town of Enfield Website and distributed to the local news media. This notice will also be posted for public review in the window of the Town Hall, 168 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca, NY 14850.
At the time and place of this Regular Town Board Meeting, the Town Board will take statements, testimony, and evidence from all persons interested in the Councilperson Appointment, and the Town Board may or will take such other action thereupon as is required or permitted by law including making an Appointment to the Board by a yay vote of at least three (3) Councilpersons at the Wednesday, February 10, 2021 Regular Town Board Meeting.
All residents of the Town and the general public are invited to attend the February 10, 2021 Regular Town Board Meeting.

Applications must be received by February 3, 2021 to be read at the Regular Town Board Meeting. Attendance by Interested Candidates is Strongly Encouraged.
