The Enfield Volunteer Fire Company (EVFC) Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial support to residents of the Town of Enfield perusing higher education. Any Town of Enfield resident pursuing an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Services (Fire, Law Enforcement, Medical, etc.) is eligible to apply.
The EVFC offers one $500 scholarships each calendar year. Previous recipients are eligible to re-apply. Completed applications are due no later than November 15th (postmark as submitted by mail) of each year. Recipients will be notified in early December and will be publicly awarded and honored at the annual EVFC Banquet on the second Saturday in December.
Completed applications will be reviewed and weighted by a committee of the EVFC based on past and current paid or volunteer work related to any of the above fields of study, previous applications for the scholarship, and references. The decision of the review committee is final, pending approval of the membership.
