ABOUT OUR PERFORMERS
SingTrece, aka Elbonee LaTrece Stevenson, is well-known in Ithaca as the powerful and inspiring lead singer for soul band Stone Cold Miracle. She also travels nationally and internationally, singing soul and gospel music. She has toured Europe twice, and recorded her first album, I’m Waiting, in 2006. Trece has performed in many theatrical roles: Dream Girls (where she played Effie), From the Blues to the Bible (played Ruby Pearl), The Wiz (as Glinda the good witch) and Crowns (as Velma). In addition, she has sung in the New York Gospel Choir under David Bratton, sung background vocals for Dionne Warwick and Al Jarreau, and opened for Cheri Dennis, 2 Live Crew, Ray Bone, Tony Yayo, Tavis Smiley, Dorothy Cotton, Everett Drake and Crime Mob to name a few. She even sang for Pope Francis!
Comedian Kenneth McLaurin has long gone by the moniker, “The Funniest Person You’ve Never Heard Of.” But he’s gaining recognition as one of the region’s best up and coming comedians. Unlike so many modern comedians who rely on R- and X-rated material to entertain, Kenneth believes it’s important for a comedian to be able to “write clean” for a broader audience. His southern fried outlook on life has audiences laughing with his infectious energy and affable nature. Kenneth arrived in Ithaca in 2011 from Raleigh, North Carolina and was surprised to find a university town with very little live comedy going on. He’s been working to change that, organizing comedy events and performing regularly throughout the Central NY region.
ABOUT THE GRANGE
The Grange is a non-partisan rural/farm advocacy organization founded in 1867. We are working to revitalize the Enfield Valley Grange as a welcoming community gathering space, where folks from all backgrounds and political persuasions can come together and get to know each other, and where we can begin to overcome the divide that sometimes exists between urban and rural neighbors. Membership in the Enfield Valley Grange is open to all, whether you live in the country, the city or in between. We are also raising funds for needed building needs repairs and improvements, such as handicap access, a new paint job, electric upgrades, and better insulation.
