Featuring THE FABULOUS NO’SHANIGANS
& Contra Dance Caller PAMELA GODDARD
Have you checked out our fun and family-friendly dance scene at the Enfield Valley Grange? Well come on out and enjoy our next dance, featuring the fabulous NO’Shanigans contra dance band and the awesome caller Pamela Goddard.
Don’t worry if you never heard of a Contra Dance! Caller Pam Goddard will teach us each dance before the music starts. Very fun, very easy to learn! All ages are invited to enjoy our big wooden dance floor, refreshments, good company, and music that is great for dancing and great for listening. You don’t need to bring a partner, just show up! But bring friends for more fun 🙂 Wallflowers are welcome, too.
The NO’Shanigans contra dance band perform Celtic, American and world fiddle tunes from New England, Southern Appalachia, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Finland, Sweden and the Middle East! Band members include: Katrina Mackey (flute), Michael Ludgate (mandolin and foot percussion), Philip Robinson (guitar), Derrick Doty (fiddle and banjo).
Suggested Donation: $8 – $15 at the door.
ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT WILL SUPPORT THE ENFIELD VALLEY GRANGE BUILDING FUND
WHY SUPPORT THE GRANGE?
The Grange is a non-partisan rural/farm advocacy organization founded in 1867. We are working to revitalize the Enfield Valley Grange as a welcoming community gathering space, where folks from all backgrounds and political persuasions can come together and get to know each other, and where we can begin to overcome the divide that sometimes exists between urban and rural neighbors. Membership in the Enfield Valley Grange is open to all, whether you live in the country, the city or in between. We are also raising funds for needed building needs repairs and improvements, such as handicap access, a new paint job, electric upgrades, and better insulation. So join us! And please help spread the word.
