At the May Regular Town Board meeting, the Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement for the Comprehensive Plan was accepted. The DGEIS identifies potential negative impacts that may occur as a result of adoption of the Comprehensive Plan.
While the intention of the Comprehensive Plan is to conceptualize improvements to our Town that will make it sustainable and livable for generations to come, including protection of the environment, considering the impacts of potential goals and actions suggested in the Plan is a responsible way to begin the process of implementation.
Both the Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement and Draft Comprehensive Plan are available for review on the Town website at:
