NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF TAX ROLL AND WARRANT
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that I, Mary Cornell, the undersigned Receiver of Taxes for the Town of Enfield, County of Tompkins, and State of New York have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Enfield for the year 2024, and that I will receive taxes at the Town Clerk’s Office, 168 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca, New York in said Town of Enfield from January 2, 2024, to March 31, 2024, Monday thru Thursday 11 AM – 4 PM. Additional hours for January 2024 ONLY Saturdays 10 AM to 2 PM, for the purpose of receiving taxes listed on said roll.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the taxes may be paid ON OR BEFORE January 31, 2024, without additional charges. INTEREST equal to 1% of the unpaid balance will be added to your TOTAL on the FIRST DAY of February 2024, and 2% + $1 to the TOTAL on the FIRST DAY of March, 2024. Upon the RETURN OF UNPAID TAXES made by the Receiver of Taxes to TOMPKINS COUNTY on April 1, 2024, a PENALTY of FIVE PERCENT (5%) will be added, plus INTEREST at the rate of one percent (1%).
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that your FIRST INSTALLMENT payment to the Enfield Tax Collector must be postmarked ON OR BEFORE January 31, 2024. Payment of the SERVICE CHARGE for this option must be included at this time. TO AVOID PENALTY AND INTEREST, THE SECOND INSTALLMENT must be paid ON OR BEFORE July 1. 2024 to Tompkins County.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that property owners who do not receive their tax notice in January should notify their tax receiver, as they will still be responsible.
NO POST DATED CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
