NOTICE OF ELECTIONS Enfield Fire District, Tompkins County New York NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the annual election of the qualified voters of the Enfield Fire District in the town of Enfield, County of Tompkins, State of New York, will be held at the Enfield Fire Company located at 172 Enfield Main Road, Ithaca, NY 14850 on the 12th day of December 2023, between the hours of 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM for the purpose of electing five fire district commissioners, with the candidate receiving the highest number of votes receiving a five (5) year term, the candidate receiving the second highest number of votes receiving a four (4) year term, the candidate receiving the third highest number of votes receiving a three (3) year term, the candidate receiving the fourth highest number of votes receiving a two (2) year term, and the candidate receiving the fifth highest number of votes receiving a one (1) year term as commissioner. Only residents of the Enfield Fire District may run for the positions. Any person wishing to be a candidate for the position shall file their name with the Secretary of the Enfield Fire District by email to: secretary.enfieldfc@gmail.com, no later than November 22, 2023. Persons need only state that they desire to run for the position of Commissioner. All duly registered residents of the Enfield Fire District shall be eligible to vote. Individuals wishing to vote must have resided in the Enfield Fire District for at least 30 days preceding the election and must have registered to vote with the Tompkins County Board of Elections on or before November 20, 2023.
