New Sign at Enfield Town Hall

In celebration of the Town of Enfield and its many contributions to Tompkins County Community a new “historic” sign has been placed at the Enfield Town Hall, 168 Enfield Main Road.  This sign was given to the Town by the Bicentennial Commission, recognizing the Town and its people, as part of the Tompkins County Bicentennial 1817 – 2017.  Wording for the sign was written by Sue Thompson, Enfield Town Historian and Carol Kammen, Tompkins County Historian.  All towns in Tompkins County received these signs and most can be located at the Town Halls.

Thanks to Buddy Rollins, Enfield Highway Superintendent and the Tompkins County Highway Department for placement of the sign.

In honor of the Bicentennial new Town Brochures were written and may be located here:  http://www.tompkinscountyny.gov/tc200/recognizing-our-municipalities
