Foot Stompin’ Dance Party!
at the Enfield Valley Grange!
Shake off your winter blahs! Join your friends and neighbors here at the Enfield Valley Grange for a family-friendly, foot stomping, swing and square dance party with live music by the Fall Crikkers Jug Band! Along with lively tunes good for swing dancing, country two stepping, waltzing and just grooving around, Vikki Armstrong will call a bunch of rip snorting square dances and special singing squares too.
No experience necessary! Instruction will be provided as needed. If dancing’s not your thing, just come out and enjoy the scene. The music will be a blast, and we’ll have refreshments too. Hippie-Hoppers, Free-style dancers, cheek-to-cheek dancers, and wallflowers are ALL welcome.
The Fall Crikkers Jug Band features Dave Davies on guitar, vocals and trombone; Rick Manning on fiddle, mandolin and vocals; Vikki Armstrong on mandolin, vocals and uke; Jim Sherpa on washtub bass, and a bunch of special guests. The Fall Crikkers Jug Band is a highlight at Porchfest every year. They’re all old friends who’ve played music and dances for years together, and the joy and delight they find with each other radiates off the stage. You can also find Jim & Dave playing regularly with Djug Django at Lot 10 every Wednesday evening.
Suggested donation of $5 – $15 supports the Grange Building Fund.
